Privacy Policy

Last updated 15 September 2026

This policy covers all Adakite applications: the store tablet app, the administrator dashboard, the staff timeclock (web and the Adakite Restaurant Timeclock Android app), and the delivery driver app (web and native iOS/Android). It explains what data each app collects, why, and who it's shared with.

Who we are

Adakite is restaurant point-of-sale, kitchen printing, and delivery-driver software operated by Adakite. If you have questions about this policy or your data, contact support@adakite.app.

Data we collect

Store & admin accounts. Login credentials, store staff PINs, and order, menu, and fee records needed to run a store. Created by store owners/managers, not by us.

Customer order data. Name, phone number, and delivery address entered by staff or customers when placing an order, used only to fulfil that order.

Driver location. The driver app collects precise device location, including in the background while a driver is on shift, so the store and customers can see delivery progress and estimated arrival time. Location is only collected while a driver is signed in and has toggled themselves "accepting deliveries" on; it stops as soon as they go off shift or sign out. Location is tied to the driver's account, not sold, and not used for advertising.

Staff & employment data. For venues using Adakite's roster and timeclock features, we hold each staff member's name and phone number, their employment basis and start and end dates, their hourly wage, the times they clock in and out, the shifts they are rostered for, and the code behind their timeclock badge. For each clock in or out we also record which timeclock tablet took it and, for a punch taken while the tablet was offline, the time on the tablet's own clock, so the venue can check a punch time it wasn't able to confirm at the time. This is entered by the venue that employs them, not by us. We hold it on that venue's behalf so it can run its roster, work out hours, and keep the employment records an employer is required to keep. We do not sell it, and we do not use it for advertising.

Timeclock camera. The timeclock uses the tablet's front camera to read staff QR badges. Camera images are processed on the tablet only to find a badge. They are not recorded, stored, or sent to us or anyone else. While the scan screen is open, the camera can see whoever is in front of the tablet, so venues should place it where that is expected.

Timeclock tablets. When a tablet or browser is set up as a timeclock we record a name for it, the kind of device and browser it reports, and when it was set up and last used, so the venue can see every timeclock and remove one it doesn't recognise. So it can keep working when the internet drops, the tablet also keeps the venue's staff names and a one-way code for each badge, plus any punches not yet sent until they are. All of it is removed from the tablet when the timeclock is signed out.

Device & usage data. Standard technical data (IP address, device/browser type, crash and diagnostic logs) used to keep the service running and secure.

How we use data

To operate core features: taking orders, printing them to the kitchen, dispatching and tracking deliveries, and giving store admins visibility into their own store's activity. We don't sell personal data, and we don't use driver or customer location for advertising or tracking across other companies' apps or websites.

Who we share data with

We use a small number of service providers to run the platform, and only share what each one needs to do its job:

  • Supabase: hosts our database and handles authentication. Supabase operates data centres in several countries, so this data may be stored or processed outside Australia.
  • Stripe: processes card payments.
  • Google Maps Platform: powers delivery distance/ETA estimates and map directions from an address.

A store's own staff and admins can see that store's order, customer, and driver data as part of normal use of the product. We don't share data across unrelated stores.

Orders from delivery platforms

Where a store has connected a delivery platform such as Uber Eats, that platform sends us the details needed to make and hand over each order: the customer's first name and last initial, a masked phone number that reaches them without revealing their real one, the items and any notes or allergy requests, and a delivery address where the store delivers the order itself. Details of the courier collecting an order reach us the same way.

We use that information to fulfil the order it belongs to and to show the store its own sales. We don't add those customers to the store's customer list, give them loyalty points, include them in promotions, or contact them, and we don't combine what a platform sends with data from anywhere else to work out who someone is. Each platform also sets its own rules for the data it sends, and ours are at least as strict.

Data retention

We keep order, customer, and driver-location data for as long as a store's account is active, plus a reasonable period afterward for records and dispute resolution. You can request deletion at any time. See "Your choices" below.

Staff and employment data is treated differently, because employers are legally required to keep employment and pay records for a number of years after someone stops working for them. We keep clock in and out times, wages, rostered shifts, and the record of any change made to them for as long as the venue's account is active and for a period afterward so the venue can meet that obligation (in Australia, employment records must generally be kept for seven years). Timesheet records are deliberately hard to erase: removing a staff member does not remove their hours, a corrected punch shows its original time on the timesheet, and every correction is kept with who made it, when, and the reason they gave. Those change records cannot be edited or deleted.

Your choices

If you've placed an order with a store, you can ask that store, or email us directly, to access, correct, or delete the name, phone number, and delivery address you provided.

Drivers can stop location sharing at any time by going off shift or logging out, and can revoke location permission entirely in their device's system settings.

If you work at a venue that uses Adakite, ask your employer to see or correct your hours, wage, or employment details. They hold those records and can print them for you from their own admin portal. You can also email us at the address below and we will help, though we act on the venue's instructions for their staff records and cannot change or delete them on our own.

To request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data, email support@adakite.app.

Children's privacy

Adakite is business software for restaurant staff and delivery drivers. It is not directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to this policy

We'll update this page if what we collect or how we use it changes, and update the "Last updated" date above.
